She was approached when she was studying at Republic Kids. Agents at the studio recognized her talent as an actor. Agents for casting been in contact with her, but without giving her the specific role she'd be auditioning for. The only thing she did was perform a couple of songs and perform a small number of vocals in front the casting agents. Her agency approved her almost quickly.
